- Accumulator
- A bet that links multiple selections, with winnings rolling over each winning pick.
- Arbitrage
- Taking advantage of different odds across sportsbooks to guarantee a profit no matter the result.
- Bankroll
- The total amount of money you have set aside for placing bets.
- Bonus
- Extra funds or free bets offered by a sportsbook, often with conditions attached.
- Cash Out
- A feature that lets you settle your bet before the match ends, locking in a profit or limiting a loss.
- Dutching
- Betting on all possible outcomes of an event to guarantee a profit regardless of which one occurs.
- Free Bet
- A bet placed without using your own money; any winnings are usually paid as bonus funds.
- Futures
- A bet on the overall winner of a tournament or award, such as who lifts the World Cup.
- Hedge
- Placing a bet on the opposite side of an existing bet to reduce risk or secure a profit.
- In-Play Betting
- Placing a bet on a match while it is happening, with odds that update as the game unfolds.
- Juice
- The built-in commission that the sportsbook takes on each bet, included in the odds.
- Kelly Criterion
- A mathematical formula that tells you the optimal percentage of your bankroll to wager based on your edge.
- Moneyline
- A bet on which team will win the match, with odds shown as a positive or negative number.
- No-Deposit Bonus
- A bonus credited to your account simply for signing up, without requiring a deposit.
- Odds
- The number that tells you how much you can win for each unit you stake.
- Over/Under
- A bet on whether the total number of goals in a match will be higher or lower than a set number.
- Parlay
- A single bet that combines two or more selections; all must win for you to get a payout.
- Point Spread
- A handicap given to each team to make the odds more balanced, expressed as a number of goals.
- Prop Bet
- A bet on a specific event inside a match, such as which player scores first.
- ROI
- Return on Investment; the net profit or loss from your bets expressed as a percentage of the money you wagered.
- Rollover
- The total amount you must wager before a bonus becomes available for withdrawal.
- Stake
- The amount of money you risk on a single bet.
- Unit
- A standard size for a bet, usually a small percentage of your bankroll.
- Wagering Requirement
- The number of times you must bet a bonus before you can withdraw it.
